TELL THE STORY OF THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS IN LUKE 4

When satan showed up, Jesus hadn’t eaten so his body was becoming weak & tired, but Jesus kept his mind renewed & strong by praying to God & thinking about God’s word. Ever since Jesus was a young boy, he spent a lot of time learning & memorizing God’s word. Since Jesus knew God’s word, he knew the exact scriptures to pray & to speak to fight off every temptation. It’s not a sin to be tempted. You’re tempted when you have a thought that is against God’s word. It’s only a sin if you act on the thought. A simple example would be stealing. Let’s say you see something you want & you think for a brief second that nobody is looking & you can take it & nobody would know. That is temptation. You know stealing is wrong because the Bible tells us not to steal, so you choose to do the right thing & not sin. It wasn’t a sin to be tempted. It would only be a sin if you took it. That’s simple enough. However, sometimes we can have thoughts that make us feel bad about ourselves or doubt God’s love for us. We might have a thought that tells us nobody loves us & we are all alone, but we can fight off the temptation to believe those lies with God’s word because the Bible tells us that God loves us & he is always with us & he will never leave us or forsake us. What if we feel like we’re ugly & we don’t have a purpose in life? If we know our Bible, then we know that’s a lie from the devil because the Bible tells us that we are God’s beautiful masterpiece & God has prepared good works for us to do & he has a purpose & plan for our lives. Instead of listening to the lies of satan, we can pray & thank God that he created us in Christ Jesus & tell God that we know he has a purpose & plan for our life & ask him to reveal it to us. When we learn God’s word & know our Bible verses, this keeps our mind strong & renewed so when the devil tries to tempt us or make us believe things that are against God’s word, we will know God’s word & know what’s right according to God. We can pray God’s word & speak God’s word & pray to God about his promises & ask him to show us things about ourselves & his word. When we are doing this, it leaves no room for the devil to trick us into believing things about ourselves that aren’t true. We are too busy believing in God & renewing our minds so stan has no choice but to leave us alone & run away like a little coward.
