Elijah listened to the word of God & always obeyed what God told him to do & because of this he was always prepared for anything that happened. When so many other people in the land were starving & dying of thirst, Elijah had food to eat & water to drink. Elijah did what God told him & went where God told him & when God sent him to the widow & her son, she could have refused to listen to the man of God, but she chose to obey & obeying God’s word saved her & her son. God’s word doesn’t always make sense to people in the world who are chasing after worldly things, but the only true way to be prepared for everything & anything is by knowing & obeying God’s word because only God truly knows the future & what is yet to come.
